An island known for its prosperity and its impressive achievements in urban planning, Singapore is a rising star in the world. This tiny country is aptly labeled as a city-state, given that Singapore only comprises about 265 square miles. Singapore means, “Lion City.” It’s called that because one of the first explorers to the island upon which Singapore now rests saw a tiger there, and he mistook it for a lion. Singapore has embraced its namesake, creating works of art in the form of lions all across the island. Inspired by that dedication in a name, Anderson Design Group handcrafted a vintage travel poster of Singapore, retro artwork that features the infamous Merlion, a mythical creature and the mascot of Singapore. This illustration is available as an art print, canvas banner, or metal sign. To learn more about Singapore, click on over to Visit Singapore.
