The Central African Republic, formerly known as Ubangi-Shari, is a landlocked country in Central Africa. It is bordered by Chad to the north, Sudan to the northeast, South Sudan to the east, the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the south, the Republic of the Congo to the southwest, and Cameroon to the west. It is rich in diamonds, gold, oil and uranium, but has one of the world's poorest populations. While it may lack in material wealth, this country is well-endowed with natural beauty. Northwest of Bangui, on the paved road that leads to Bouar, are the famous Boali Falls (Chutes de Boali). After crossing the hydroelectric dam which supplies the capital with electricity, the Mbali river springs up to about fifty meters in height, in a few dips that extend over more than 250 m in width. The artists of Anderson Design Group have created this original illustration, handcrafted to celebrate the beauty of one of Africa's scenic gems. This design will look lovely as a print, canvas, metal sign, postcard or notecard.
