One of the oldest and most well-preserved civilizations in the world, Japan has incredible culture, history, and art that has withstood the tests of time. A good example is the Himeji Castle, an impressive structure that was originally built in the year 1333. Himeji is not only considered the best surviving example of a Japanese castle, it is also the largest castle in all of Japan. A UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Japan, Anderson Design Group thought it fitting to create by hand a vintage travel poster of the castle, a hand-drawn, colored, and lettered depiction of the castle in the vintage art styles of the early-1900s. Now you can show your admiration for this incredible Japanese landmark and decorate your home in retro artwork all at once. To learn more about the castle, visit the Japan Guide.
