Lake Erie is the shallowest of the Great Lakes and the fourth largest. The lake was named after the Indigenous Erie people, a Native American tribe that lived along the lake’s southern shore. Lake Erie may be one of the smaller of the Great Lakes, but it’s still the 11th largest freshwater lake in the world! The lake’s northern shore runs along the Canadian province of Ontario, while its U.S. shoreline includes Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York. Inspired to create vintage travel art and poster art of all the Great Lakes, Anderson Design Group hand-rendered original designs of the lakes, each retro illustration available as a poster, print, banner, notecard, postcard, or metal sign.
