Welcome to Jekyll Island, an island in the Atlantic just off the coast of Georgia. The island used to be a private club, founded in 1886 and catering to America’s high society for decades. The island transitioned from a private club to a public vacation hotspot shortly after World War II. Today, the island has been opened up for all to see and enjoy, with prominent landmarks like the Jekyll Island Clubhouse, (one of America’s grand historic hotels), now available to the public. The island is also known for its beaches, mature forests, and dense marshes. Because the island is owned by the State of Georgia, only 35 percent of the island is developed and the rest is kept undeveloped as a nature preserve. Inspired by the history of the island and efforts taken to preserve it, Anderson Design Group rendered a classic design of the Jekyll Island Clubhouse, colored against a backdrop of sunshine and white, puffy clouds. Available as a poster, print, canvas, notecard, postcard, or metal sign, this artwork would make a fantastic souvenir from a favorite family vacation or getaway. And to learn more about the island, be sure to check out the website for Jekyll Island, Georgia.
