A state rich in history, Maryland is well known for its role in colonial America. Maryland is called the “Old Line State,” a somber salute to the many soldiers from Maryland who fought in the Revolutionary War; the Maryland Line. Maryland was also the home of the first school in the U.S., and Maryland was the birthplace of the U.S. Navy. In 1902, Maryland was the first state to enact workmen's compensation, a huge victory for workers’ rights. Needless to stay, Maryland has quite a bit of state pride, and so it deserved a handcrafted State Pride poster illustration of its own. This artwork features Maryland’s most well-known industry, it’s specialty trade of fishing for the elusive blue crab. Available as a print, canvas, sign, banner, postcard, or notecard, this artwork is the perfect gift or conversation piece. To learn more about Maryland, check out the Visit Maryland website.
