One of the most popular parks in the country, Grand Canyon National Park receives about six million visitors per year. The park spans more than a million acres, most of which is taken up by the sweeping canyon. The canyon itself is the gorge of the Colorado River, a natural formation of water erosion over the course of thousands of years. This magnificent creation of Mother Nature could not be controlled by the hands of man even if we wanted to. No bridges or paths cross the canyon, though some paths do allow visitors to venture down to the canyon floor and the Colorado River bed. Commemorating the 100th anniversary of this magnificent park, Anderson Design Group hand- illustrated this early-20th century National Parks poster with nothing but imagination, brushes, pencils, and a stylus. To learn more about the park and its rich history, visit the Grand Canyon Conservancy.
