Visitors to Shenandoah National Park beware, the Snallygaster bird may be lurking nearby! Since the days of early colonial America, residents of the region that is now Shenandoah National Park have reported sightings of the vicious Snallygaster. According to eye-witnesses, the reptilian, bird-like creature has terrifying features, including razor sharp serrated teeth, bulletproof skin, claws like steel hooks, and a seemingly intentional habit of letting itself be spotted by lone hikers and wilderness explorers. Intrigued by this fearsome creature of Shenandoah National Park, Anderson Design Group poster artists rendered an original illustration of what we think the Snallygaster might look like. Available as a poster, print, canvas, metal sign, mini canvas, notecard, or postcard, this artwork would make an excellent souvenir from a trip to Shenandoah, or a great gift for a true believer in the Snallygaster legend! To learn more about the Snallygaster and the other mythical creatures of the United States, check out the website Legends of America.
