Exuma, a special district of the Bahamas, consists of over 365 islands, also called cays. The largest of the cays is know as Great Exuma, 37 miles in length and joined to another island, Little Exuma, by a small bridge. Exuma's famous swimming pigs live on Big Major Cay. Also known as Pig Beach (for obvious reasons), the island is about 82 miles southeast of Nassau, and about 50 miles northwest of the capitol, George Town.
