What better way to depict a bustling and energetic city like New Orleans than with the groovy, exciting colors and lines of mod art? The French Quarter is easily one of the most popular tourist destinations in the state and in the Gulf region more broadly. This part of the city is known for its music, food, frequent festivals, and eclectic culture. To celebrate New Orleans in style, ADG teamed up with collaborating artist Annie E. Cauffman to render the French Quarter in the jazziest designs of the mid-20th century, i.e., Mid-Century Mod Art. Annie’s bold sense of style and iconic vintage 1950s-1960s rendering techniques add a classic jet-age whimsey to this iconic scene. Reminiscent of the TWA posters of the mid-20th century, this retro design celebrates The Big Easy with a modern twist. Reminiscent of vintage travel art and vintage poster art, this original illustration would look great as a print, framed poster, canvas, mini canvas, metal sign, or as a set of note cards or postcards.
