In the first half of the 20th Century, Space Travel seemed to be within our grasp as art, movies, TV shows, comics, cartoons, and books depicted Americans soaring to new heights in sleek aircraft, traveling the highways in cars with rocket fins. Science and imagination collided with dreams of new family vacations, and a whole futuristic industry was born, all inspired by fantastic pulp fiction novels, popular science magazines, and even text books. This original poster art and travel art celebrates the optimism, adventure, and style of the Nuclear Age and the years that led up to the actual Space Age, all rendered in a vintage poster art style fitting of the time.
