Every once in awhile, Anderson Design Group Creative Director Joel Anderson comes across an artist who’s style and illustrative talents embody much of the visions and goals of ADG poster art. That’s why Joel was proud to collaborate with master pastel artist Arden von Haeger to produce this vintage-looking Badlands poster and National Park art. Arden's classic hand-rendered illustration style conveys grandeur, romance, and nuance. His inventive use of color and his unique Art Deco styling deliver a delightful new take on some of America's most iconic destinations, like Badlands National Park. While the Lakota Indians of old may have scorned the “Mako Sica” region (which means “Land Bad”) for being an inhospitable and difficult land to traverse and survive in, today's visitors to the Badlands can enjoy the good life on this 244,000 acre National Park located in South Dakota. And to celebrate that good life, Anderson Design Group worked with Arden to hand-illustrate national parks posters and vintage poster art of the Badlands in a style that takes us back to the Golden Era of Illustration and Vintage Poster Art. In this print, a herd of bison lean into the prairie winds while the Black Hills loom like somber statues in the distance. This vintage National Park poster would make the perfect centerpiece for any room’s decor.
